If you live in Edinburgh and you’re on the hunt for a low-cost getaway this summer, your options just got a heck of a lot better. Budget carrier Ryanair has launched a bunch of handy new routes from Edinburgh Airport, offering cheap journeys to some top-tier holiday destinations.

Highlights of Ryanair’s new schedule include flights to the culture-packed Italian city of Venice and the medieval Greek island of Rhodes, though there are plenty of domestic routes will have new services to and from Edinburgh, too. Belfast, Bournemouth, Cornwall and London Stansted are all set to be added to Ryanair’s summer schedule.

And that isn’t all. The airline will also increase the frequency of flights to several destinations it already serves. A whopping 30 destinations will have more Ryanair services from Edinburgh, including Alicante, Barcelona, Brussels and Milan.

Ryanair’s schedule this summer now includes 69 destinations, making it the airline’s biggest ever summer season in the Scottish capital. And that, obvs, goes for getting to Edinburgh, too. More than ever, it’ll be easier to get a cheap flight and access to the city’s fabulous restaurants, fascinating museums and, of course, its legendary yearly Fringe festival in August.
