As the great Miss Swift once sang: if you fail to plan you plan to fail. But given the impressive level of strategy involved for simply securing tickets for the Eras Tour in Edinburgh, if you’ve managed to do so you clearly already have a knack for planning ahead.
Soon, you’ll finally be able to relax as you belt out ‘Cruel Summer’ and well up at ‘marjorie’. Right now, though, you’ve still got some organising to do. From June 7 to June 9, the Scottish capital is going to be chock-a-block with Swifties, which means transport is going to be a lot busier than usual.
So, to make sure you arrive at the stadium with time to browse some merch and fuel up on refreshments, you’ll want to map out exactly how you’re getting to Murrayfield in advance. The golden rule? Leave plenty of time to spare. Here’s all of the info you need to make sure you get to the Eras Tour safe and sound.

How to get to Taylor Swift concerts in Edinburgh
Tram
The tram is one of the most direct ways of getting to Murrayfield Stadium. But that also means it will be very, very crammed. There will be extra services running before and after the concert until 1am.
Edinburgh Trams advises that fans buy their tickets in advance to save time and money. A ‘day tripper’ ticket will cost you £4.50 for an adult and £2.25 for a child. Make sure you keep hold of your ticket as there will be checks in place.
Bus
This one’s a bit more complicated. Which bus you take depends on where you’ll be in the stadium (you can double check the seating plan here) — luckily, Lothian Buses has this handy map. Bus prices start at £2 for a single adult ticket and £1 per child single.
Train
The nearest train station to Murrayfield is Haymarket Train Station. Waverley Train Station right in the centre of the city also offers pretty easy access.
Once you’ve pulled up to either station, just hop on a bus or tram or join the parade of sequins and cowboy boots walking to stadium. It's a 50-minute stroll from Waverley and just 20 minutes from Haymarket.
For the end of the event, ScotRail has planned additional late night services to Glasgow, Dundee, Dunblane and Perth. Fans are advised to book their tickets in advance on the ScotRail website.
On June 9, there will be a bus replacement service between Glasgow Central and Edinburgh via Shotts.
Car
If you’re driving to the event, your best bet is parking up at Inglington Park and Ride for free, then catching the 20-minute tram to the stadium.
For drop-off and collection, Murrayfield has designated points to take into account road closures around the stadium. There are two at the north end on Costorphine Road and two at the south end at Balgreen Road, near to Gorgie Road and on Russel Road.
