Thrill-seekers and daredevils, listen up. You’ll soon be able to satisfy your adrenaline-junkie needs from none other than the roof of one of the biggest and most famous stadiums in the UK

Work has started on a new zip-line over the Principality Stadium (previously known as the Millennium Stadium) in Cardiff. From 2024, visitors will be able to hang out on top of the home of Welsh rugby, taking in panoramic views of the capital. What’s more, it will be open year-round.

Welsh Rugby Union is partnering with Wire and Sky to make the ‘highly complex and ambitious project’ happen. The company is behind a number of similar attractions, including the Cutty Sark climbing experience in London and abseiling at Liverpool FC’s Anfield.

The exact cost of the project hasn’t been revealed but we do know that profits will be fed back into Welsh Rugby. The wire is predicted to have a ‘hugely positive impact’ on the Wales’s favourite sport.

Richard Collier Keywood, chair of the Welsh Rugby Union, said: ‘Principality Stadium is a magnificent world class venue and now fans, if they dare, will be able to experience it from a whole new perspective, as well as take in the spectacular city panorama from the roof.’
