Everyone – yes, everyone – has at some point in their lives wanted to live in a castle. And now you can live out those fantasies: Dunbeath Castle, one of the UK’s most dramatic and majestic castles, is now on the market.

Located in the Scottish county of Caithness, Dunbeath is in an area of outstanding natural beauty and looks out over rolling peatlands and the raging North Sea. Dating all the way back to the fifteenth century, its key asset is its clifftop location: there are very, very castles in the UK anything like it.

Clifftop location aside, Dunbeath is a pretty swish place. Boasting 13 bedrooms and nine bathrooms, it sits on a 28,500-acre estate that comes with its own river primed for salmon fishing. There’s also four hill lochs and lochans and about four miles of rugged coastline. Coast, moorland and riverside... it’s got the lot. Here are a few pics of the place.

As you’d expect, all this doesn't come cheap. The asking price is a whopping £25 million, with the sale being handled by Savills estate agents. You can find out more and – if you’ve got the cash – book a viewing on the official Savills listing here

Did you know that Bob Dylan’s huge mansion in the Scottish Highlands could be yours for £3 million?
