There are some marvellously historic properties across the UK but few have a roster of previous residents as varied at one sprawling pad in Buckinghamshire – and you’ve got the chance to join the list, as it’s just gone up for sale.
This absolute whopper of a mansion in Denham Place has been home to Napoleon’s two brothers – King Joseph-Napoleon Bonaparte, former ruler of Naples and Spain, and King Jerome-Napoleon Bonaparte, briefly ruler of Westphalia.
But it’s not just these (probably diddy) brothers who have resided in the property – it was also a country retreat for Wall Street giant JP Morgan, and a home for Harry Saltzman, co-producer of the James Bond franchise.
The former home of a madly successful movie mogul, a world-famous investment banker and two literal rulers, unsurprisingly, does not come cheap. But the mansion, which is on the market for £75 million pound mansion, does come with rather a lot.
Not only are there 12 bedrooms, 12 reception rooms, 14 bathrooms, a family and a catering kitchen, lifts, underfloor heating and air conditioning, there’s also a Grade II-listed coach house (with planning permission to turn it into a spa and swimming pool), and 43 acres of land, which include a sunken and a walled garden. And breathe.
Eager to ogle this beast of a country home? Here are some snaps of the place.

Did you see that these are officially the UK’s most expensive streets?
