You can’t go wrong with pizza. And unless you’re lactose intolerant (sad), or don’t eat carbs (weird), everybody loves it. Now, the best pizzas in the country have been revealed, and we’ve covered the full list below so you can find out where to get your hands on the best slices in the UK.
The finalists for the National Pizza Awards 2024 are here, with the judges narrowing down the entries to just 16 front runners. From Ace Pizza at the Pembury Tavern to Pizza Pilgrims, this year’s shortlist features a mixture of high-street chains and indie joints.
The finalists will face off in a live cooking showdown on November 12 at London’s Big Penny Social to determine the 2024 winner. On top of a signature round, which determines the National Pizza of the Year, the event will see pizzaiolos take part in a technical challenge where they must create the ultimate pizza, all in an effort to claim the Pizza Chef of the Year title. This year will also see the introduction of The Alternative Slice Award, given to the competitor who puts together the most delicious dish using free-from products. Winners on the night will be decided by a hand-picked panel of expert industry judges.
