When the Pret subscription came onto the coffee-scene nearly four years ago, it was fresh. It was innovative. Five drinks of my choosing made for me every day? For only £15 a month? Excellent. And great value too! Since then the idea’s gotten a bit stale, mostly because the price has doubled.

But now a new player has entered the arena. Leon’s new Roast Rewards programme is matching Pret’s current offer – five barista made drinks a day plus 20 percent off food – but for £5 less. That’s right. You can still have all the cappuccinos/mochas/hot chocolates you could ever desire whilst saving a fiver.

So where do you sign? The scheme launches today (May 30), and you can get in on this caffeinated goodness by downloading Leon’s app.

As well as your drinks and discount you’ll be able to rack up extra points every time you buy something in the cafe. Once you’ve got enough points you’ll get another free item of your choosing. The good times simply don’t stop. In terms of food they've got options for veggies, vegans, and those with a sweet tooth, so no man is left behind.

Head to Leon and grab yourself an iced coffee or five as the sun finally shows itself this year. Your move, Pret. Your move.

Did you see that all of Scotland will soon get a tourist tax?

Plus: The UK could be in for the wettest summer in 100 years.
