Kate Bush fans listen closely, the singer’s former home has gone on the market. But don’t get your hopes up too high: it’s listed for a whopping £11.5 million, which means you probably won’t be running up this particular hill anytime soon.

The singer lived in the historic house, which was built in 1800 for a nearby mill, from the mid-1990s until 2011. Located on the river Kennet, near the Berkshire village of Theale, the famously private singer built her own dance and recording studio to work from on the property’s 22.54 acres of grounds.

Having sold it in 2011 to current owners, Mike and Fran Taylor, the property known as Shenfield Mill is once more on the market with estate agents Strutt & Parker. But it comes with even more luxury than Bush left it with, as the Taylors have added a glass extension in the garden, managing to nearly double the size of the property to 7,384 square feet.

Already impressed? Get this. The property comes complete with an Archimedes screw, which harnesses the river’s hydro energy to generate 40 kilowatts of power per hour. Included in the sale is the former dance studio – since turned into a two-storey two-bedroom cottage – and a three-bedroom bungalow.

Here’s a few pics of the place.
