John Legend’s Get Lifted was a heck of a debut. Much-hyped at the time (late 2004), the album went on to go double platinum for sales in the US (and single platinum here in the UK) and was named by several critics among the decade’s best R&B releases. To this day, Get Lifted remains one of Legend’s most renowned works thanks to tracks like ‘Ordinary People’ and ‘Used to Love U’.
