The Isle of Wight Festival, one of the UK’s most legendary music fests, returns for its 2024 edition this weekend. In its long history IOW has been graced by names as massive as Miles Davis, Joni Mitchell, Jimi Hendrix and The Doors. This year the fest is headed up by Green Day, the Prodigy and Pet Shop Boys.
Needless to say, this year’s Isle of Wight Festival is set to be as huge as ever. The fest is returning to Seaclose Park in Newport this weekend – with, of course, its iconic Big Top.

When is Isle of Wight Festival 2024?
This year’s fest takes place from Thursday June 20 to Sunday June 23.
Where is Isle of Wight Festival 2024 and how do I get there?
The festival is in Seaclose Park in Newport.
If you’re driving to the fest, you can park your car at the festival site. Both Wightlink (from Lymington and Portsmouth) and Red Funnel (from Southampton) offer ferry services from the mainland.
If you’re travelling by train, your best bet is also to take the Wightlink or Red Funnel. Bus services will then take you from the ferry terminal to the festival.
There is also the Big Green Coach, which is the festival’s exclusive coach provider.
Who are the headliners for Isle of Wight 2024?
This year’s big three headliners are The Prodigy, Green Day and Pet Shop Boys, though, as always with IOW, there is plenty of gold further down the line-up.
Also playing are The Streets, Keane, Simple Minds, Jessie J, the Pretenders, Suede and many more.

It’s looking positively balmy. The weekend is set to have highs of up to 23C and lows of 12C, with a dab of rain expected on Friday night and a little cloud coming in on Sunday. Given the summer we’ve had so far, that isn’t bad at all.
