Time to get excited: football is officially one step closer to coming home. After some nail-biting penalties against Switzerland on Sunday, England have made it through the semi-finals of Euro 2024. Next, they’ll be facing the Netherlands.

The stakes are high and it’s going to be a tense game. This is the last match between the Three Lions and the UEFA Euro 2024 final so one thing’s for sure – you don’t want to miss it. The game is tonight, on Wednesday July 10.

What time is the Netherlands vs England for Euro 2024?

The Netherlands vs England game will kick off tonight at 8pm BST (9pm local time in Dortmund, Germany). 

What channel is the semi-final game on?

You’ll be able to watch it on ITV1 or stream it online with ITVX.

Fans can tune in for some pre-match analysis from 6.30pm. 

What are the odds for the Netherlands vs England?

At the time of writing, bookies are putting the odds at 23/10 for Netherlands to progress to the final and 7/4 for England to qualify, while a draw after 90 minutes is 19/10. So, it’s very close.

When they’ve faced each other in the past, the Netherlands have won seven times, England have won six times and they’ve drawn nine times.

England’s last win against the Netherlands was in a friendly in 2018, but their last win against them in a major tournament was way back at Euro 1996.

If England win this evening, that means that they’re through to the final to play Spain. That final will be on Sunday, July 14 at 8pm. 

What’s been said about the game so far?

Chris Sutton on BBC Sport reckons England will win 2-1, saying that ‘if England are going to reach their second successive Euros final, they are going to have to rely on individual brilliance again’. 

In the Evening Standard, Marc Mayo thinks England will win on penalties, saying: ‘Logically, you have to expect this to be a tight game that could well go the distance - and hope England’s know-how and quality pull them through.’

Jonathan Wilson in the Guardian has picked out several tactical ‘conundrums’ that will settle the semi-final, arguing that Gareth Southgate needs to choose between three or four at the back, as well as whether to substitute Harry Kane for other, younger talents. 

Spain vs France result and final score

In one of the best games of this year’s Euros, Spain triumphed over France in last night’s semi final. Lamine Yamal and Dani Olmo scored to defeat the French 2-1, meaning that whoever wins England vs Netherlands will face Spain in the final.
