After hailing in the New Year, the holiday cheer begins to fade. But there is one way to battle the onslaught of seasonal depression you’re likely to feel slapped with: planning holidays for the year ahead. 

With this in mind, it’s good to know how to make the most of that precious annual leave and maximise your holidays in 2025. Luckily, someone has worked out exactly which days to take off next year to get a whopping 55 days off with 25 days holiday. Sounds alright!

So, get yourself organised and use those days wisely. Here’s every date you should take off in 2025 to double your annual leave. 

New Year’s Day

Take off Thursday January 2 and Friday January 3.

Easter bank holiday

Take off Friday April 11 to Thursday April 17.

Early May bank holiday

Take off Tuesday May 6 to Friday May 9.

Spring / Late May bank holiday

Take off Tuesday May 27 to Friday May 30.

August bank holiday

Take off Tuesday August 26 to Friday August 29.

Christmas

Take off Monday December 22 to Wednesday December 31.
