2012 was a great time to be alive. Social media sites were full of people lip-syncing to songs instead of arguing, Donald Trump was still just a reality TV host, and it was all soundtracked by a distinctive genre of indie-folk-rock music. The kings of that genre? Mumford and Sons.

Originally formed in 2007, Mumford and Sons really blew up in 2010 with the release of their first album Sigh No More. Since then, they have enjoyed more than a decade of success, both here in the UK and abroad. If you were alive in the 2010s, you’ll know their sound. There’s always a banjo strumming. They've inspired countless successors, like the Lumineers (who are also going on tour) and, more recently, Noah Kahan (who will be headlining London’s Hyde Part BST).

It’s been seven whole years since the band’s last album came out, and five years since their last tour was cruelly cut short by the pandemic. But now after a long, partially socially-distanced wait, we’ve got some good news about everyone’s favourite millennial rockers (that aren’t Coldplay).

To celebrate the release of new album Rushmere at the end of March, the boys are embarking on a massive European arena tour this winter, including six here in the UK. Here’s everything you need to know to make sure you bag tickets.

When are Mumford and Sons going on their UK tour?

Mumford and Sons tour kicks off on November 6 in Stockholm, and ends on December 10 with a gig in London’s O2 arena. Being from south London himself, that one will be extra special for frontman Marcus Mumford. In fact, this album is named after Rushmere pond in Wimbledon, which is where the band formed. Pretty cool, right?

The UK dates are all in December 2025, stretching from December 2-10.

When do tickets go on sale?

The general sale for tickets will begin at 10am GMT on Thursday March 20 from Ticketmaster, which you can access here, and individual venue websites.

Is there a presale?

If you’re really keen, you’ll already have signed up to presale without even knowing it. How can that be? Well, anyone who preorders Rushmere is automatically signed up to a fans-only presale for all the UK dates, and members of the band’s fan community agora will have access to presale for the rest of the tour. You can sign up to agora here.

If you preorder the album, which you can do here, you’ll be sent a code via email which you can put into Ticketmaster to access the presale. You have until Monday March 17 to do this.

Some venues also offer venue specific presales. To learn more about those, go to your local venue’s website and click on the Mumford and Sons gig listing.

Presale tickets will go on sale on Tuesday March 18 at 10am GMT from Ticketmaster.

How much are tickets for Mumford and Sons?

We won’t know the exact price breakdowns until the tickets go on sale, but according to the Glasgow Hydro’s website, they range from £54.80 - £111.55. The lower end will likely be far away seats, with standing being somewhere in the middle.

What UK dates have been confirmed?

Six dates have been confirmed for the UK leg of the tour. Those are as follows:
