If something sounds too good to be true, that’s often because it is. But we’re being totally honest when we say that you can bag yourself a free burger next week. All you’ve got to do is make sure you’re one of the first 100 hungry people in line. And if there’s one thing us Brits know how to do, it's stand in a queue.
Had a trip planned to Aldi next week? Fancied going gourmet in the kitchen with an M&S ready meal? Well clear your calendars, because November 13 is officially free burger day (sort of).
Following on from the success of its Smashed Burger, beloved bun-makers at Honest Burgers have come up with the even bigger and better Double Smashed Burger, and 100 are being given out for for free in each of the chain’s UK-wide stores to celebrate.
At 39 restaurants across the country, from Brighton to Cardiff, Liverpool and Windsor, there’s almost 4,000 patties up for grabs. And the freebie even comes with a side of fries, so make sure you come hungry.
As if the promise of a free patty wasn't tempting enough, each of the 100 customers will automatically be entered into a competition to win even more prizes, including vouchers for a year’s worth of Smashed Burgers.
The rules are simple, make sure you’re one of the first hundred people in line at your nearest Honest Burgers at 11am on Wednesday November 13 and eat your heart out.

Still hungry?
Brioche buns, single patty, hold the cheese, whatever it is that picks your fancy when it comes to burgers, there’s always something to choose from. McDonald’s just announced the latest addition to their saver menu, the Chilli Double Cheeseburger, and Burger King is opening a massive five-floor restaurant in an old Topshop building (RIP).
Tis’ the season of giving: Lidl’s new Christmas cola truck will soon be touring the UK and handing out presents.
