The days when Argos was purely a catalogue-based store seem long-gone – but while the brand’s famously weighty product tomes are gone (axed back in 2020), the brand itself lives on.
Though Argos has pretty successfully reinvented itself for the internet era, last year the retailer announced a huge swathe of closures. Argos declared that 100 of its UK stores would be closing across both 2023 and 2024.
But it isn’t all bad news. Argos is also opening up new branches in Sainsbury’s supermarkets, and expects to have up to 460 counters in Sainos across the UK by March of this year. Worried your local Argos might soon shut? Here is everything you need to know about the closures.
