If you’re planning on catching the Eurostar this summer, watch out for some supremely sparkly trains. The high-speed cross-Channel rail operator has painted two of its trains gold to mark this summer’s Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris

Eurostar is the official travel partner of Team GB and ParalympicsGB for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, and the golden e320 trains will transport athletes and spectators – as well as any Eurostar traveller lucky enough to get on one. The trains were unveiled at a ceremony with Olympian Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill, ParalympicsGB double gold medallist Maisie Summers-Newton, and former Team GB athlete Perri Shakes-Drayton

On top of that, Eurostar is also boosting its timetable this summer and offering up to eight more daily services between London and Paris on days when Olympic demand is highest. Two million customers are expected to use Eurostar to get to the Games this summer.

Eurostar is really leaning into this summer’s Olympics in Paris. As well as the golden trains, the operator is also offering Olympic-themed onboard desserts, a new ‘Olympic gold’ cocktail menu, and ‘Olympic chocolates’. Talk about Olympic (and Paralympic) fever, eh?

So if you’re travelling by Eurostar this summer, you might be whizzing over to mainland Europe in a golden train! You can buy tickets on the Eurostar website here.
