What with the disappointing British weather this summer and all, we wouldn’t blame you for looking for an escape to sunnier lands. You’re probably dreaming of balmy nights on the continent, enjoying a cocktail in 20-something-degree heat, maybe even managing to get something of a tan.
If that all sounds dreamy to you, we have some great news. Eurostar is having a flash sale where you can book tickets one way for just £35.
That’s right. For £35 you can hop on a train from London and end up in Paris, Lille, Brussels, Amsterdam and Rotterdam, so you’ve got options for your Euro-summer.
You’ll have to be quick though – the sale ends tomorrow (July 18). Plus, tickets in sales like these tend to get snapped up pretty quickly, and there’s limited availability.
There are tickets available every day between now and the end of October, while they last. Grab yours on the Eurostar website here before everyone else does, and think about how one month from now you could be soaking up the sun as you stroll along the Seine.
Transport in the UK
While you’re still this side of the channel, there’s plenty to talk about in the world of UK transport, such as new flights from the ‘world’s best airline’ being launched from the UK, this tunnel that has been proposed to connect the UK and the UK, and the latest information about ongoing strikes.
Did you see that the UK is set to get its coldest summer in 24 years?
Plus: These rare historic WW1 training trenches are now protected for future generations.
