Kitsch roses on bedsheets, vintage-style geraniums on backpacks and ditsy tulip bouquets on umbrellas... we could only be talking about Cath Kidston.

You might have noticed that the cutesy fashion and home brand has disappeared from local high streets in recent years. The chain went into administration in 2020 and since then has passed through several hands.

The brand name and its intellectual property was eventually bought by Next in early 2023 in an £8.5 million deal, but that didn’t include its physical shops, which all subsequently shut down. But now, Cath Kidston is making a return.

The brand posted on Instagram with the caption: ‘Why yes. Yes, you guessed right. We do indeed we have a new home opening soon.’

So, mark your calendars fans of all things frilly and flora, a new Cath Kidston store is set to open at Westfield White City in London on October 18. Just in time to start filling those Christmas stockings
