Once home to the official Doctor Who exhibition and boasting a cinema, casino, bowling alley and plenty of crowd-pleaser restaurants, the Red Dragon Centre in Cardiff Bay has overseen almost 30 years worth of manic kids parties, awkward first dates and rowdy late nights.

Loads of South Wales locals will have some kind of story to tell of the complex. It also happens to be home to radio station Capital South Wales.

But alas, the Red Dragon Centre is past its heyday and doesn’t get as much footfall as it once did. Now, it’s due to be demolished.

The well-known building will be torn down at some point in the next few years to make way for a £280 million, 15,000 capacity music arena (which hopefully fares a bit better than Manchester's Co-op Live) and hotel. No exact date for the Red Dragon’s demolition has been confirmed yet.

According to Wales Online, local councillors hope that a replacement can be built and are in negotiations with the centre’s current tenants.
