Noughties boyband legends McFly are currently in the midst of two huge 21st Birthday Party shows at London’s O2 Arena this week. Yesterday (October 9), at the first of those shows, they announced some very special news: next year McFly will go on tour across the UK with Busted.

Yep, that’s right: two of the biggest boybands of an era will unite for one ma-hoosive tour. Busted ‘crashed’ the stage at the O2 to announce the news, declaring the Busted vs McFly UK Tour 2025.

If you’re a huge fan of these two bands, news couldn’t possibly get any bigger. Here’s everything we know so far about the tour, from the dates and sale dates to ticket prices.

What’s been said about the tour?

Speaking of the tour, McFly said ‘Busted gatecrashed our show last night (not cool), and challenged us to a VS tour next year. They’re old men now, and we are gonna blow them and their carers off the stage next year. We’ve had a great time celebrating our 21st birthday this week and next year is going to be even better – P.S Busted Suck.’

Busted said: ‘There’s been a lot of talk recently…. This is where the talking ends….! We are ready to show who is the better band once and for all. McFly suck and Busted Rock!’

Fan reactions

At the McFly gig announcing the joint tour, needless to say fans were surprised. One described it as ‘surreal moment’ and another said it was ‘an incredible surprise appearance’.

Other fans haven’t been so positive, saying that they ‘can’t get on board with the whole “vs” thing’: ‘We get it, you’re mates who want to find an excuse to tour together.. just do it without the GCSE acting.’ Can’t please everyone, eh?
