It’s about that time of year where we all start dreaming of getting the hell off this island for a few weeks for sunnier, warmer shores.

Alas, summer 2024 won’t be as simple as we might have hoped (given that the 100ml rule isn’t being scrapped), so you might be looking a bit further forward. And if you’re already planning summer 2025, we have big news: TUI has announced it’ll be hugely boosting its options from four UK airports.

From 2025, Exeter, Bournemouth, Newcastle, and East Midlands airports will all boast increased TUI services. Travellers will get hundreds of thousands more seats, as well as better access to popular destinations in Spain and Greece.

Exeter is gaining an entire extra plane, which means that thousands more TUI customers will be headed to places like Tenerife, Crete and Rhodes, amongst loads of others. South coast neighbour Bournemouth will enjoy more journeys to similar destinations, as well as Paphos, Menorca, Kefalonia, Heraklion and Corfu.

East Midlands airport can expect a huge combined boost in flights to more varied parts of the world, including Bulgaria, Cape Verde, and of course the classics Palma, Paphos and Antalya.

Our northern friends haven’t been forgotten this time, as Newcastle will receive a bunch of new journeys to the most popular spots for Brits abroad, including Dalaman, Kos, and, you guessed it, Palma

TUI will also be opening up new routes from London Gatwick to Porto, and from Stansted to Enfidha in Tunisia.

Full details on all these flights – including costs and timings – aren’t yet available, but check TUI’s website regularly to grab them when released later this year. For now, enjoy planning next year’s holidays with the knowledge that wherever you want to go, there will probably be a low-cost flight to get you there.
