Given the weather we’ve been having here in the UK (which is only set to get worse this week), most of us are probably craving sunny getaways on blonde beaches, swimming in crystal waters. Surely, the last thing you want right now is to book a trip to somewhere cold and snowy?

If snow and slopes is indeed what you're after though, listen up. Jet2 has just announced that it is launching new budget flights to six prime ski destinations. The flights won’t actually take to the skies until the 2025/26 season, but Jet2 has revealed them now so that keen holidaymakers can plan well in advance.

So, without further ado... next winter you’ll be able to fly from Birmingham Airport to Chambery and Grenoble in France, Geneva in Switzerland, Salzburg and Innsbruck in Austria and Turin in Italy. They’ll start taking off from December 2025.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: ‘The feedback from customers is that they are wanting to book ahead and secure their place on the slopes for next winter.

‘We are always listening to our customers and responding to what they are telling us, so have put a fantastic ski programme on sale for winter 25/26 from Birmingham Airport.’

More new flights

We’re spoiled for choice when it comes to jet-setting from the UK. And the options are only increasing. Last month Jet2 also launched new routes to a Norwegian city and new affordable flights from Edinburgh to New York were announced. There are direct flights from the UK to this beautiful Caribbean island making comeback and a brand-new budget airline getting you to Europe for less. Plus you can now fly to Jordan from London or Manchester, get direct routes to the Amalfi Coast, or hop on new budget flights to Munich
