We all love a holiday. But the process of actually getting to another country can be, quite frankly, a pain. Besides the flight, there’s the time taken to go through check-in, bag drop, security checks, waiting at the gate. And that’s after often hours spent getting to the airport in the first place.
So it’s always a nice relief when you find out that you can fly from your local airport instead. Soon, Bournemouth locals will have a whole new bunch of flights available at their doorstep.
Budget airline Jet2 has announced that it will be launching 16 new flights from the small airport thanks to ‘huge demand’. The new routes, which include destinations in Spain and Greece, will begin taking off at the start of 2025.
There will be twice weekly services to Lanzarote from February 6 and weekly services to Gran Canaria from February 9.
On top of those there will be new flights to Alicante, Ibiza, Menorca, Mallorca and Fuerteventura in Spain; Corfu, Heraklion, Rhodes and Zakynthos in Greece; Antalya and Dalaman in Turkey and Faro and Funchal in Portugal. Truly spoiled for choice!
