Ah, Boxpark. If you’ve been to one of the ones in London, you’ll know it’s a marmite sort of place. If you love hanging out in massive drinking halls and boozing as you watch football on giant screens with hundreds of others, Boxparks are scintillating. If you hate all that stuff? Well, they’re pretty close to hell on Earth.

Whether you’re a lover or a hater, we’ve got Boxpark news. The company has announced that it’ll be opening a brand-new venue – and that it’ll be its second outside London.

The new Boxpark will be in Digbeth, Birmingham, and it’s set to open in 2025. Located under the Floodgate Street Arches, it’ll be spread over a massive, 17,000-square-foot space and offer the brand’s usual mixture of street food, drinks and entertainment.

Current proposals for the project include ten kitchen units and six bars (four inside and two outside) spread across two floors. According to Boxpark, the Brum site will provide 200 jobs and aims to attract one million punters per year.

Here are a couple more renders of what Digbeth’s Boxpark is expected to look like.

Pretty interesting, eh? And the next few years are looking pretty big for Boxpark. While the brand is currently based in London (in Croydon, Shoreditch and Wembley), it’s set to open a venue in Liverpool in spring 2024. It’s also opening a new food and drink concept called Boxhall in London’s Liverpool Street in 2024.

Sports bars and Time Out
