Get this: Boomtown has just revealed the first load of artists for its 2025 festival. And the fact that it’s happened right now, in December, is a really big deal.
While it’s pretty normal for everyone from Reading and Leeds and Download to Glastonbury to release a lineup (or at least a few names) at this time of year, it’s highly unusual for Boomtown. The Hampshire festival is known for selling out way in advance and revealing its names just a few weeks before the festival kicks off in the summer.
The festival renowned for its stage design and production quality is making a statement – and the lineup reflects that. Drawing, as always, from a huge range of sounds and styles, Boomtown 2025 (dubbed Chapter 4: Power Of Now) will feature huge names like Maribou State, Azealia Banks and Sex Pistols featuring Frank Carter, plus loads more.

Date and location
Boomtown Chapter 4: Power of Now will take place from Wednesday August 6 to Sunday August 10 2025 at the Matterley Estate in Hampshire.
Lineup
Leading the lineup are electronic duos Maribou State, Overmono and Hybrid Minds, punk legends the Sex Pistols (now fronted by Frank Carter), Jamaican singer Sean Paul, jungle star Nia Archives, US hip-house artist Azealia Banks and drum and bass band Rudimental.
And that’s just scratching the surface. Here’s the poster so far, featuring Nova Twins, Fat Dog, the Blessed Madonna, Honey Dijon and many more.
Boomtown says that more than 600 more artists are yet to be announced for next year’s edition.
