Birmingham doesn’t boast too many famous natives, especially if you deny them Cillian Murphy (as you definitely should, tbh), so when a Brummie does make it big-time, it’s worth celebrating. And so it makes sense that a new museum dedicated entirely to Ozzy Osborne, frontman of legendary metal band Black Sabbath and husband of Sharon, will be opened by the latter in the city.

Sharon revealed the news on The Osbournes Podcast, a sort of radio revival of the family’s successful noughties reality TV show. She described her plans for the museum as a home for a mix of Ozzy memorabilia from his Black Sabbath days and beyond, music lessons for local children, and even a café.

‘We’re going to have every instrument you can think of. Music students can come in and we’re gonna do music classes, because there’s no music at schools anymore. We’re gonna get friends, other musicians to come in.’ She explained.

Although there are no concrete plans at the moment, Sharon hopes to set the plan in motion within the next 12 months. It coincides nicely with Ozzy’s plans to release a new album later this year, provided he remains in good health after a series of neck and spinal surgeries.
