If you're without a car and want to travel from London to Wales, it normally involves an expensive train ride, or a trip on a coach producing loads of gross fumes. Well, journeys aren't going to get faster any time soon but they are about to get cheaper and cleaner.

FlixBus has just released its brand new electric coach onto the M4, connecting London to Bristol and Newport. It's the first ever long-distance service between England and Wales to be powered by electricity.

The big green machine seats 46 and includes charging points, free wifi and a toilet. Apparently it will save 352kg of carbon emissions per day compared to its diesel-fueled friends. To put that into perspective, over the year that would equate to almost 18,000 cars being removed from the road.

And there's more good news. Tickets start at a mere £2.99 for a one-way trip to Bristol and £3.99 for a one-way ride to Newport. You can book a trip here
