These days, people will go to all sorts of lengths to get a cute and quirky pic for the 'gram, be it pissing off fellow diners or causing actual damage to people's homes. Luckily, there are places designed for you to get funky photos without annoying everyone around you.

One such attraction are the Upside Down Houses scattered in cities across the country. And now, there’s one potentially landing in Liverpool

If you’ve not coming across one of these topsy-turvey homes before, they’re pretty much exactly what you’d expect. The installation makes visitors feel as though they’re walking on the ceiling with an array of furniture sat above their heads. The first was launched in Bournemouth in 2018. Since then, ten more have launched across the country.

Upside Down House Ltd is hoping that the latest addition to its collection will be at the Liverpool ONE shopping centre. It would be first of its houses in the north west.

A planning application has been submitted and if approved, the house will only take two nights to build. It will then live in the shopping centre for at least 12 months, with tickets set to cost under £4 for a 20 minute slot.

Documents supporting the application said: ‘The Upside Down Houses strongly support the local economy and significantly boost tourist attractions for the cities and towns they are in. The cultural attraction would in that sense complement Liverpool's city and cultural centre.’
