For the month of June, Yokohama becomes a Francophile’s paradise, with French art exhibitions, food and wine events, musical performances, film screenings, workshops and much more, held at venues across the city. Yokohama-France Month began in 2005 as Japan’s first large-scale French culture and gastronomy festival, and continues to draw crowds. Check the event website for the full program. The event coincides with the French Film Festival, held in Yokohama’s Minato Mirai area, where several films will make their Japan debut. If you're lucky, you might even run into one of the films’ actors or directors.
