A music festival for people of different languages, nationalities and disabilities. This True Colors event connects with participants by incorporating simple words and gestures to create new music.
The festival is led by composer Santiago Vazquez, who will be holding workshops on Saturday, October 19 and Sunday, October 20. Vazquez composes music and improvises performances with the use of hand gestures and will be demonstrating how music can be expanded by sign language. On October 22, Japanese artists such as Wednesday Campanella’s KOM_I and Otomo Yoshihide will participate in workshops and make an appearance for a performance on the outdoor stage of Yoyogi Park.
