Tori no Ichi (Miyamasu Mitake Shrine, Shibuya)

Miyamasu Mitake Shrine opens its gates for November's three Tori no Ichi festivals. People have been gathering here since the early Taisho era to pray for good luck and success in business for the coming year, and the festival remains very popular. Wander the shrine grounds, try the various snacks on offer, and get your kumade (a colourfully decorated, traditional bamboo rake) from one of the many vendors.
