Time Out says

This festival celebrates the first anniversary of Tokyo Torch Park and Tokiwabashi Tower. These two facilities belong to the massive Tokyo Torch development project next to Tokyo Station, which is scheduled to be completed in 2027.

Between August 26 and 28 from 11am to 7pm, kids can take photos with a realistic-looking dinosaur robot. They can also partake in various workshops, where they can excavate dinosaur fossils, design a tote bag, or learn how to ride a kick scooter.

At the Sports Festival from August 29 to September 4 (12noon-6pm, Sat 12.30pm-7.30pm), you can experience different activities such as parkour (Aug 30, Sep 2, Sep 4) as well as slacklining and Double Dutch (Aug 29, Sep 2 and 4). Don’t miss the live performance by the Samurai Rock Orchestra on September 3 (times TBA).

The anniversary celebration culminates with a four-day summer festival from September 14 to 18, where you’ll find a beer garden serving cool brews and cocktails between 6pm and 9pm (from 12noon on Sat and Sun). There’s also traditional festival games such as goldfish scooping, target shooting and more – and it only costs you ¥100 per game.

From Friday through Sunday, drop by the different tourism booths promoting Fukushima prefecture, Niigata prefecture’s Ojiya and Sado cities, Ibaraki prefecture’s Tsukuba city and Shizuoka prefecture’s Susono city.
