Tokyo River Clean Up

Time Out says

If you feel like taking in the wonderful spring weather and doing good at the same time, the Tokyo River Clean Up is happening again. This time, it’s along the banks of the historical Edo River; it runs from 9am to 6.30pm, with a riverside bento-lunch picnic from 1pm-2.30pm. Feel free to spend the whole day here, or just one of the two clean-up sessions, or even just the picnic. There’ll be three pick-up times at Barakinakayama Station, so check the Tokyo River Friends website for updates.

This clean-up event is run by the Tokyo River Friends volunteer group, who seeks to not just benefit the environment, but also create a fun time for participants to meet like-minded folk. Their events always include some kind of picnic or barbecue along the rivers or Tokyo Bay waterfronts.

Note the meeting point is at Baraki Nakayama Station.
