Head over to Yoyogi Park on August 17-18 weekend to experience all things Thai, from gapao rice and pad Thai noodles to T-Pop and Muay Thai. Thai Expo Tokyo 2024 is being held for the first time in Yoyogi at a massive scale – in fact, according to the organisers, this is the largest Thai event in Japan. There will be over 100 artists visiting from Thailand and over 70 outdoor booths selling everything from spicy Thai food to tropical fruit and sundries.
Expect to see performances by T-pop girl groups RedSpin and BNK48, as well as singer-songwriters Sin and Patcha Chanudom. Muay Thai fighter Buakaw Banchamek will also make an appearance on both days to showcase Thailand’s rich performing arts and sports culture.
