Hello, readers. We would like to hear from you about your experience of navigating Japan with special dietary needs – whether you have food allergies or special requirements like vegan, halal or kosher.

While awareness of dietary needs and restrictions is slowly increasing in Japan, it can still be a struggle to find restaurants that accommodate specific food requirements, especially when travelling outside major cities such as Tokyo and Osaka.

That's why we would love to hear from you. In partnership with Yamanashi prefecture, we are gathering insights from travellers to help local restaurants cater to the growing demand for more inclusive menus.

This survey will take just a few minutes of your time. And we’re giving away a ¥1,000 Amazon gift card each to five randomly selected participants. The survey is open to readers worldwide who have recently travelled to Japan.
