Odaiba's VenusFort may be best known for its annual Hawaiian festival, usually taking place during the Golden Week, but this September affair seems more appetising: you can look forward to three days of music and dance performances, plus an array of delicious French-Polynesian dishes and drinks from pua roti smoked pork to pineapple juice and Hinano beer. You should also attend some of the craft workshops, and make sure to pay attention when the O Tahiti E dancers take the stage – to the untrained eye, this traditional art form is easily mistaken with the Hawaiian hula but is actually quite distinctive.
