Shinjuku Alta Theater

If you're obsessed with Japanese artists and would like them as close to you as (virtually) possible, the new Shinjuku Alta Theater might be your thing. During the day, the venue hosts hourly 3D shows, with J-Pop videos in 2D and subsequently 3D. Currently, new idol group 'lol' features heavily; they literally pop out of the screen, and there are a lot of 3D strobe lights, diamonds and other visual effects floating around. From 7.30pm, the venue changes into a café/bar with projection mapping of an aquarium, a forest, the universe and, once again, idol videos.
