Shibuya Parco is celebrating its third anniversary with a festival featuring over 60 musicians and creators across 11 days from November 18 to December 4.
The opening party on the first day has various DJs playing tunes throughout the entire facility from 6pm to 9pm. The ninth floor is also getting involved with a talk session with Daizo Murata, who has run renowned clubs like Vision and Contact. What’s more, there are performances by Japanese DJ collaboration TYO GQOM, which recently participated in the Nyege Nyege dance music festival in Uganda.
While most events are free, the exhibition from British illustrator James Jarvis has an entrance fee of ¥500. It takes place between November 19 and December 25 on the fourth floor with a display of paintings and installations by Jarvis.
The Final Party on December 4 will bring the festival to a close with performances from Japanese hip-hop and rap artist Stuts as well as indie band Mitsume. The live show is free, but you must receive a ticket from the Shibuya Parco Instagram account via lottery by November 19.
More live music, pop-up shops and exhibitions can be found in the mall daily. Check the website for a list of artists and brands who are set to participate in this event.
