The Sphere observatory on the 25h floor of Fuji Television’s headquarters in Odaiba will be open for extended hours – until 9pm, that is – for three days only from December 22 to 24. Located 123 metres above ground, the observatory offers a panoramic view of Tokyo Bay and Odaiba lit up with festive illuminations, as well as some of Tokyo’s iconic attractions including Tokyo Tower, Tokyo Skytree and the Rainbow Bridge. Visitors on December 23 will be treated to one of the best views of the Odaiba Rainbow Fireworks show, held at 7pm that evening.
Entry is only ¥700 for adults and ¥450 for junior high and primary school students. High school students who show their ID can get a discounted ticket for ¥560 on weekdays.
While you’re there, make sure to check out Concordia, Japan’s largest interactive beach art projection at Odaiba Beach, and the Mirrorbowler Tokyo Twinkle Illumination at Symbol Promenade Park and Stone and Light Plaza.
