Time Out says

Every autumn, Shibuya’s beloved drinking alley, Nonbei Yokocho, holds a festival to promote Japanese drinking culture and its collection of under-the-radar, hole-in-the-wall bars. This event is organised and run by the students of Aoyama Gakuin University.

One of the alleys will be lined with stalls, where you can taste all kinds of Japanese liquor and sake. The local community will also be parading a barrel of sake on a mikoshi (portable shrine) around the area, and put on musical performances just outside the bars. Unlike the usual quite evenings at Nonbei Yokocho, this festival is sure to pack the streets with both locals and tourists.
