With so much to see and do in our sprawling metropolis, it can be hard to zoom in on the city’s must-see sights and best places to eat and drink. To help you plan your Tokyo trip, we recently released the 14th edition of our flagship 88 Things to Do in Tokyo guide map, where you'll discover the city's hottest new attractions, best shops and eateries.
Here are some of the highlights from the newly released Time Out Tokyo map.
Hang out in the heart of Harajuku at the sleek new Tokyu Plaza Harajuku Harakado. This new multi-purpose complex features a vertical rooftop garden embedded into a reflective, geometric facade, and is home to countless new shops and dining options. That’s not all – there’s also a communal bathhouse in the basement.
Recently, there’s been a resurgence of interest in listening bars, where you can enjoy a drink while listening to curated vinyl records played on top-of-the-line sound systems. One of our go-to spots is Jazz Inn Uncle Tom in Sangenjaya, known for its 3,000-record collection, hand-drip coffee and housemade dry curry.
Eat, shop, spa and repeat. If this sounds like your kind of day, check out the new Toyosu Senkyaku Banrai complex. Not only will you find a 24-hour super sento (bathhouse) here, there's also plenty of restaurants and food stalls serving fresh seafood from nearby Toyosu Market.
