Seventeen popular burger shops from across Japan are gathering at Saitama Super Arena's community arena space to compete in the second Japan Burger Championship from June 27 to 30. Each venue will be cooking up its best hamburgers, which will be judged based on the taste and skill of the chefs. The winner of the competition will compete in the World Food Championships in Indianapolis, Indiana this coming November.
Several Tokyo burger joints are taking part, including JS Burgers Cafe and Shogun Burger. Restaurants from Okinawa, Fukuoka, Osaka, Toyama and Gunma are participating as well. You can also pair your meal with fries at the Japan French Fries Championship, which is held at the same location simultaneously.
While admission to this event is free, it is recommended to get a free numbered ticket online for June 28 and 30 to enter the venue smoothly. Payments can only be made using cashless payments (credit cards, IC Cards, and QR code payments).
