This Friday June 21, begin your day relaxed and refreshed by partaking in yoga at the magnificent Tsukiji Hongwanji temple. This morning event, co-organised by the Embassy of India in Tokyo to celebrate the International Day of Yoga, will begin with a special video message by Indian PM Narendra Modi at 7am, followed by a practice of popular yoga moves and poses.
This beginner-friendly event concludes with a special breathing exercise and a traditional dance performance. What a healthy way to kick-start a Friday morning – just don’t forget to bring a yoga mat. Plus, the event will also feature talks on yoga, ayurveda (Indian traditional medicine) and Indian culture.
The event is free, but limited to the first 1,000 participants who register on the website.
