Attracting around 600,000 visitors, the annual Hokkaido Fair is returning to Yoyogi Park with a plethora of booths offering fresh seafood and crowd-pleasing dishes from the northern prefecture. Treat yourself to a bowl of miso ramen, delicious kaisendon (sashimi rice bowl), uni (sea urchin) and ikura (salmon roe) over rice, and Hokkaido-style ‘zangi’ karaage fried chicken, just to name a few. Make sure to get Hokkaido’s famed melon desserts to complete your meal.
This year, visitors on weekdays will be able to purchase selected dishes with increased portion at a special low price of ¥1,000. For this promotion, many of the dishes, which usually exceed ¥1,000, will be offered at a discount but with more toppings to feed your appetite. This special deal is limited in quantities and available only from eight selected food vendors.
