Renowned American film producer, actor and artist Harmony Korine is taking over Tokyo for a week this June to share works from his multimedia design collective EDGLRD. There’s a total of three events to check out during his tour of the city: a programme of exclusive screenings of Korine’s past films, an exhibition, and an experiential screening featuring DJ sets and other live performances.
The film screenings take place from June 1 to 4 at Shibuya Parco's White Cine Quinto theatre and include some of Korine's best-known works including 'The Beach Bum' and 'Spring Breakers'. You can find tickets and the full schedule here.
On June 5, Korine will premier his latest film 'Aggro Dr1ft'. The action film stars Travis Scott and Jordi Mollà and follows an assassin who is on a mission to kill a crime lord. This will be the only day you’ll be able to catch this screening of the film in Japan. For tickets and schedule, visit here.
From June 5 to 9, you can check out Korine's exhibition titled ‘Enter The EDGLRD World’ at Rand Omotesando. This will be the artist’s first opportunity to share the latest works from his design collective. There will also be limited-edition merchandise available at the exhibition.
Lastly, the events will culminate with a massive experiential screening of ‘Aggro Dr1ft’ at WWW/WWWX in Shibuya on June 6. Along with the film, there’ll be a number of live performances including DJ sets from London-based electronic duo Two Shell. For tickets to the experiential screening, visit here.
