To celebrate Hachi Hachi week, a word play on the Japanese reading of August 8, Shibuya is commemorating the beloved Hachiko with a series of events inspired by the renowned dog. The main attraction is arguably the appearance of Hachi, the official mascot for the Shibuya City Tourism Association.
You can meet this cute and cuddly mascot for one day only on Saturday August 10 at Hachiful Shibuya meets Akita store in Shibuya Scramble Square (1pm-2.30pm), Uniqlo Harajuku (3pm-4.30pm) and Bloom Gate Zone C event space at the newly completed Shibuya Sakura Stage (5.30pm-6pm).
