Fuchu Kyodo no Mori has around 1,300 plum trees of 120 kinds. Visit on the weekend of February 25 and 26 or March 4 and 5 to see the night time illumination from 5pm to 8pm (last entry 7.30pm) when the park will be lit with around 180 lights. You’ll also be able to enter the planetarium for free during these evenings.
The first 20 visitors to the tea house will be able to purchase an exclusive tea set (¥500), which comes with an ume plum confectionery. Not to worry if you’ve missed out on this – you can still get a cup of matcha for ¥400.
