The Flower and Light Movement program organised by the Tokyo Metropolitan Park Association seeks to create new ways for people to enjoy the many parks in the city. This season, Komazawa Olympic Park is getting a makeover with multiple flower installations featuring multi-coloured pansies. You won’t miss the massive flower bed at the grand staircase and the spherical violet pansy sculpture that lights up in the evening.
For this event, the park is also hosting special illuminations to light up the iconic Olympic Memorial Tower as well as the surrounding trees from 5.30pm to 9pm daily. On November 24, don’t miss the one-night-only candle art exhibition and free evening concert. There will be more festivities the next day, November 25, from 10am to 4pm, with taiko performances, workshops and food stalls.
