Transport yourself back to olden day Tokyo, also known as Edo, at Kanda Shrine this weekend. The nostalgic festival features street food like yakisoba, classic children’s games such as goldfish scooping as well as cultural activities including kimono experience – and there’s fireworks, too. Aside from the aforementioned festivities, you can also look forward to plenty of cultural performances, for example, awaodori, gagaku (a type of Japanese classical music), taiko drumming and an epic sword battle called ‘katanaya-chi’.
