Similar to the farm-to-table concept, artisanal chocolate producers follow a bean-to-bar philosophy. This means sourcing directly from farmers, being knowledgeable about ingredients and supply chains, and respecting the natural flavour of the ingredients. What this means for consumers is that we get rich, nuanced, flavourful and sustainably sourced chocolate – and Craft Chocolate Festival is here to celebrate that.
At the event, held at the weekend Farmer’s Market @ UNU, local producers from Hokkaido to Okinawa will showcase their goods alongside international chocolatiers. Expect plenty of chocolatey tastings and things to buy.
